A fantastic weekend trip to Bakkhali

Bakkhali is an ideal place to enjoy a short weekend trip. The place is at the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, quite near from the capital city of Kolkata. There is ample bus service available from Esplanade to Bakkhali. You can also travel via car; it is a meagre 3 hours journey from Kolkata.

You can relish jumbo crab curry and friend prawns and other local fish at these stalls. Among sweets, the coconut barfis are worth a try. If you are visiting Bakkhali during winters, you can buy home-made jaggery and pure palm sap.
